First edition, first impression, inscribed by Rosenberg's bereaved youngest sister on the front free endpaper, "With all good wishes from Annie Wymick (sister of Isaac Rosenberg)". Rosenberg was a talented artist and poet and who served during WWI. A small and frail man, critical of the war from the start, Rosenberg was ill-prepared for life in the trenches, but through his hardship came some of the finest poems written on the subject. He was killed in the Somme on All Fools Day, 1918. Very scarce thus.
