First edition, only printing. Signed by J. K. Rowling on the front free endpaper. Rowling wrote and illustrated six manuscript copies of The Tales of Beedle the Bard, which were finely bound and presented to people who had been important in the publication of the Harry Potter books. This is the auction catalogue for the seventh manuscript copy, which was auctioned to raise funds for her charity, The Children's High Level Group; it broke the record for the most expensive modern literary manuscript.
