Presentation copy inscribed by Michel Couturier and Robert Groborne to Francis Bacon: "Pour Francis Bacon, en espérant qu'un jour très prochain nous travaillions à quelque chose de moins abstrait sur son œuvre avec l'admiration et l'amitié de Michel Couturier, R. Groborne" (title page). Limited edition of 530 copies, of which this is number 312. In 1975 Bacon gave Couturier a lengthy interview which was broadcast that same year on French national radio.
